Case Study / Missing Person / Missing Son
In this day and age, children leave their families and travel the world seeking opportunities to develop their lives and work experience. In this case A, a young woman living in a large Asian country contacted Mr Tracer seeking his help to find her brother, B who had left home 2 years earlier and lost contact with his family. B was believed to be now living and working in New Zealand. Their father was in poor health and was wanting his son to contact him before his health deteriorated further.
The Investigation
The investigator sought more information from A as to her brothers last known whereabouts. It was established that he had been working in the horticultural sector in the Bay of Plenty but very little else was known about his movements. After making local enquiries, Mr Tracer located a friend of B’s using social media and contact was made with this person in New Zealand.
The Outcome
After the investigator discussed the situation with B’s friend, he agreed to pass on a message to B who subsequently agreed to contact his family. A day or so later, A confirmed by e mail that her father and B and spoken to each other and the family was reunited. Her message read “Thank you for your wonderful and swift effort. It's a great relief for our family and we are good to know he is safe and well. Thank you again for all your efforts and support”. There was excitement all round.
